“Our Life Together for Christ’s Glory”

Music for Preparation                                                                9:20a.m.

We Gather In Praise

Approaching with Gladness                                      Colossians 1:15-20

Leader:  He is the image of the invisible God,

People:  The firstborn of all creation.

Leader:  For by Him all things were created,

People:  In heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.

Leader:  And He is before all things,

People:  And in Him all things hold together.

Leader:  And He is the head of the body, the church.

People:  He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent.

Leader:  For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,

People:  And through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

Rejoicing in Our Christ                                               “Glorious Christ”

The radiance of the Father, before the dawn of time

You spoke and all creation came to be

The molecules and planets, reveal Your great design

And every one was made so we could see, so we could see

You are the glorious Christ, the greatest of all delights

Your power is unequaled, Your love beyond all heights

No greater sacrifice, than when You laid down Your life

We join the song of angels, who praise You day and night

Glorious Christ

You left the air of heaven, to breathe the dust of earth

And dwell among the outcast and the poor

You came to be forsaken, and died to take our curse

So You could be our joy forevermore, forevermore

Chorus

You're seated now in heaven, enthroned at God's right hand

You've shattered death and freed us, from our fears

And though we cannot see You, You're coming back again

And all will be made right when You appear

And all will be made right when You appear

Chorus

Silently Confessing Our Sins

Resting in Our Reconciliation                                          Galatians 6:14

But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Rejoicing in Our Savior                                                “He Is Our God”

Who can light the fires
Of a thousand burning suns
Blazing in the heavens?
There is only One
He is our God

Who commands the nations
Building up and tearing down
Silencing His rivals?
There is only One
He is our God, He is our God

Holy, You alone are holy

Matchless in Your glory, holy God

Who would come to save us
When we turned away His love
Conquer us with kindness?
There is only One
He is our God, He is our God

Holy, You alone are holy
Matchless in Your glory, no one is like You
Worthy, You alone are worthy
We adore You only, holy God

Now to the King on the throne
Who was and is to come
And to the Lamb Who was slain be glory
(Repeat 2x)

Holy, You alone are holy
Matchless in Your glory, no one is like You
Worthy, You alone are worthy
We adore You only, holy God

Prayers of Adoration

We Present Our Lives In Need And Provision

We Express Our Need in Prayer                                        1 Peter 1:6-8

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation

of Jesus Christ.  Though you have not seen Him, you love Him.

Though you do not now see Him, you believe in Him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,

We Give Thanks for His Provision                          Philippians 4:18-20

I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering,

a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.  And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Offering for the Ministry of the Church

Rejoicing in His Care                                             “When Trials Come”

When trials come no longer fear
For in the pain our God draws near
To fire a faith worth more than gold
And there His faithfulness is told
And there His faithfulness is told

Within the night I know Your peace
The breath of God brings strength to me
And new each morning mercy flows
As treasures of the darkness grow
As treasures of the darkness grow

I turn to Wisdom not my own
For every battle You have known
My confidence will rest in You
Your love endures Your ways are good
Your love endures Your ways are good

When I am weary with the cost
I see the triumph of the cross
So in its shadow I shall run
Till You complete the work begun

Till You complete the work begun

One day all things will be made new
I’ll see the hope You called me to
And in your kingdom paved with gold
I’ll praise your faithfulness of old
I’ll praise your faithfulness of old

Prayer of Thanksgiving                                             The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, which art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come.

Thy will be done on earth,

As it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors,

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

The power, and the glory,

Forever.

Amen.

Ministry Announcements & Greetings

We Listen To His Truth

Preparing Our Hearts for His Word                      Jesus Shall Reign”

Jesus shall reign where’er the sun
Does his successive journeys run
His kingdom stretch from shore to shore
Till suns shall rise and set no more

Blessings abound where'er He reigns

The prisoner leaps to lose his chains

The weary find eternal rest
And all the sons of want are blessed

To our King be highest praise

Rising through eternal days
Just and faithful - He shall reign

 Jesus shall reign

People and realms of every tongue

Dwell on His love with sweetest song

And infant voices shall proclaim
Their early praises to His Name

Chorus

Let every creature rise and bring

Blessing and honour to our King

Angels descend with songs again

And earth repeat the loud amen!

Chorus

Sermon

“Worthy of the Call”

2 Thessalonians 1:3-12

Pastor

We Share Our Lives With Him And One Another

Meeting the Lord at His Table

Sharing in the Grace of Jesus with One Another

We Go To Serve In His World

His Blessing and Charge in Departing                      Hebrews 13:20,21

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do

His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight,

through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.

Amen.

“O Church Arise”

O church, arise and put your armor on

Hear the call of Christ our Captain

For now the weak can say that they are strong

In the strength that God has given

With shield of faith and belt of truth

We’ll stand against the devil’s lies

An army bold whose battle cry is "Love!"

Reaching out to those in darkness

Our call to war, to love the captive soul

But to rage against the captor

And with the sword that makes the wounded whole

We will fight with faith and valor

When faced with trials on every side

We know the outcome is secure

And Christ will have the prize for which He died

An inheritance of nations

Come, see the cross where love and mercy meet

As the Son of God is stricken

Then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet

For the Conqueror has risen!

And as the stone is rolled away

And Christ emerges from the grave

This vict'ry march continues till the day

Ev'ry eye and heart shall see Him

So Spirit, come, put strength in ev'ry stride

Give grace for ev'ry hurdle

That we may run with faith to win the prize

Of a servant good and faithful

As saints of old still line the way

Retelling triumphs of His grace

We hear their calls and hunger for the day

When, with Christ, we stand in glory
