Worship Theme:  “The Grace and Peace

from God the Father and God the Son”

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

Praising The God Of Grace And Peace

Our Call to Worship Him                                                Revelation 1:4-8

Leader: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.

People: To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Leader: Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen.

People: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Rejoicing in Our Salvation                                         "And Can It Be?"

And can it be that I should gain

an int'rest in the Savior's blood?

Died He for me, who caused His pain?

For me, who Him to death pursued?

Amazing love! how can it be that Thou

my God shouldst die for me?

Amazing love! how can it be that Thou

My God, shouldst die for me!

He left His Father's throne above

so free, so infinite His grace!

Emptied Himself of all but love

and bled for Adam's helpless race

Tis' mercy all, immense and free

for, O my God, it found out me

Long my imprisoned spirit lay

fast bound in sin and nature's night

Thine eye diffused a quick'ning ray

I woke the dungeon flamed with light

My chains fell off, my heart was free

I rose, went forth, and followed Thee

No condemnation now I dread

Jesus, and all in Him is mine

Alive in Him, my living Head

and clothed in righteousness divine

Bold I approach th' eternal throne

and claim the crown, thru Christ my own

Confessing Our Sins and Faith through Grace

Our Great God, we approach the throne of Your grace  this morning through the righteousness of Your Son, Jesus.  We humbly acknowledge before You and others that we are sinners saved by grace who now enjoy the peace of forgiveness and fellowship with our Father.  We ask that Your Spirit would continue to work in us the refining grace of growth in sanctification.  Open our hearts to Your Sovereign plan and purpose for our lives, families, and church.  Supply us with the strength, resolve, and obedience to forsake the idols of our hearts and to serve You, the only true God. Renew our passion for Your work and will.  As those who joyfully live and rest in Your grace and peace, we ask all this through Your name.  Amen.

“Jesus, I Am Resting, Resting”

Jesus, I am resting, resting, in the joy of what Thou art

I am finding out the greatness, of Thy loving heart

Thou has bid me gaze upon Thee, and Thy beauty fills my soul

For by Thy transforming power, Thou hast made me whole

Jesus, I am resting, resting, in the joy of what Thou art

I am finding out the greatness, of Thy loving heart

O how great Thy loving kindness, vaster, broader than the sea!

O how marvelous Thy goodness, lavished all on me!

Yes, I rest in Thee, Beloved, know what wealth of grace is Thine

Know Thy certainty of promise, and have made it mine

Simply trusting Thee, Lord Jesus, I behold Thee as Thou art

And Thy love, so pure, so changeless, satisfies my heart

Satisfies its deepest longings, meets, supplies its every need

Compasseth me 'round with blessings; Thine is love indeed!

Ever lift Thy face upon me, as I work and wait for Thee

Resting 'neath Thy smile, Lord Jesus, earth's dark shadows flee

Brightness of my Father's glory, sunshine of my Father's face

Keep me ever trusting, resting, fill me with Thy grace

Thanking the Triune God for His Presence and Love

We Rest and Respond To His Grace And Peace

Praying for One Another                                             Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer

and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known

to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Praying for Grace and Peace in Our Lives

Giving to the God of Grace                                      2 Corinthians 8:7-9

But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you—see that you excel in this act of grace also.  I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich.

Offering for the Ministry of His Church

“His Mercy Is More”

What love could remember no wrongs we have done

Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum

Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore

Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Praise the Lord His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness new every morn

Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What patience would wait as we constantly roam

What Father so tender is calling us home

He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor

Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What riches of kindness He lavished on us

His blood was the payment His life was the cost

We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford

Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Chorus (3X)

Sharing in the Grace of Jesus with One Another

"Here Is Love"

Here is love vast as the ocean,

Loving kindness as the flood,

When the Prince of Life, our ransom

Shed for us his precious blood.

Who his love will not remember,

Who can cease to sing his praise?

He will never be forgotten

Throughout heaven's eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion

Fountains opened deep and wide,

Through the floodgates of God's mercy

Flowed a vast and gracious tide.

Grace and love, like mighty rivers

Poured incessant from above

Heaven's peace and perfect justice

Kissed a guilty world in love.

We Depart In Grace And With Peace

 2 John 1:2-4

Because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father

and from Jesus Christ the Father's Son, in truth and love.

“This Is Amazing Grace”

Who breaks the power of sin and darkness

Whose love is mighty and so much stronger

The King of Glory the King above all kings

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder

Who leaves us breathless in awe and wonder

The King of Glory the King above all kings

This is amazing grace

 This is unfailing love

That You would take my place

That You would bear my cross

You laid down Your life

That I would be set free

Oh Jesus I sing for all that You've done for me

Who brings our chaos back into order

Who makes the orphan a son and daughter

The King of Glory the King of Glory

Who rules the nations with truth and justice

Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance

The King of Glory the King above all kings

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

Worthy is the King who conquered the grave

Repeat 2X

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

Worthy worthy worthy
