This Week’s Happenings
LENT – The cloth on the cross has been changed to purple because we have entered the season of Lent. Purple speaks of royalty, of kingship. Purple is made up of the colors blue (which speaks of heaven) and red (which speaks of blood). The message communicated is that Jesus, the King of Heaven, came to shed His blood so that we might have peace with God. Lent is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation, and spiritual discipline. The purpose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ – His suffering and His sacrifice, His life, death, burial and resurrection.
THE LORD’S SUPPER will be celebrated this Sunday, March 7.
CHURCH DIRECTORIES – We are in the process of updating the Church Directory for 2021. Please reach out to the Church Office at Office@KnowingChrist.net to update your information or if you would like to be included in a future Pictorial Directory that will be printed and available digitally at a later date. If you would like to receive a PDF (digital copy) sent to you by email, please contact the Church Office by email with your request. Thank you!
YOUTH GROUP will meet with the Fowlers from 3-5 PM.
SMALL GROUPS – Please check your bulletin or your Friday email notifications for more information. Small Groups plan to meet Sundays and Mondays. If you have other questions, please reach out to your group leaders.

UPDATED CPC DIRECTORIES are available at the Welcome Center. If you have any information that has changed, please reach out to the Church Office via email: Office@KnowingChrist.net. We will update the information for the reprint in a few months. Thank you!
CHURCH EMAILS – From time to time our church email address book inadvertently drops a contact – perhaps this has happened to you. As we search for a permanent solution, please help us by doing this: If you have not received a general email, prayer update, or the church E-News during the course of the week, please contact the Church Office. We will be sure to add your contact information back into our system. Thanks for your patience.
CPC COMMUNICATION – Along with email communication to the congregation, we will be using a robo text messaging program to alert members and friends for emergencies, cancellations, and special events. If we do not have your current cell phone information in our Church Directory, would you please email your number to the Church Office and we will add it to the contact list. Thank you. Please reach out to the office if you have any questions.
