This Month’s Happenings
SUNDAY SCHOOL – Sunday School is available for all ages. Our Adult classes are “Living in Grace” led by Elder Jim Roszell and “Biblical Theology 101” led by Pastor Bob Clark.
LADIES NIGHT OUT – There will be a Ladies Movie & Games Night on Friday, February 22. Start time will be 6pm. Please contact the Church Office for more information.
KENYA TEACHING TRIP – Pastor Bob is returning to Thika, Kenya, Feb 21 – Mar 1, for another ITEM sponsored teaching trip. If you would like more information about his trip or would like to contribute toward trip please see Bob.
PASTA and PERFORMANCE – First talent show and spaghetti dinner fundraiser to support the Youth Ministry on Sunday, February 24. See Jeff Schrage for details.
TUESDAY MORNING LADIES’ STUDY – The current study 2 Samuel has concluded. If you would like to join us for 1 Kings there will be a “join us” review study this Tuesday, February 19. We’ll begin 1 Kings after Pastor Bob returns from Kenya, March 5. We meet at the church fireplace area from 8:30-10:00am. Please see Pastor Bob for more details.
A MOVIE OPPORTUNITY – We have decided to show “GOSNELL – The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” at CPC. The movie chronicles the activities of the inner-city abortion clinic in Philadelphia that led to Dr. Gosnell’s trial in 2010. Because of the topic and some language, the movie is rated, appropriately, PG-13. We would encourage parents to consider that regarding their youth; even those 13 or older. We plan to show the movie on two evenings. The first presentation will be next Tuesday, Feb 26, at 7pm in the church lobby. We will have a second presentation in March, TBD. Given the recent developments in our nation surrounding abortion, we believe this will be beneficial for those promoting the sanctity of life. Official Movie Preview: https://youtu.be/ttwkr8MM9Rk
A JOYFUL NOISE – SING! Books from the most recent Getty Sponsored “Sing Conference” are available at the Welcome Center for $5 each. Authors, songwriters, and worship leaders Keith and Kristyn Getty write to church members to remind them why the Church should sing, when the Church should sing, and how the Church should sing.
