Together in Worship, Learning, Fellowship and Outreach
This Month’s Happenings
SUNDAY SCHOOL – Sunday School is available for all ages. Our Adult classes are “Living in Grace” led by Elder Jim Roszell (Library) and “Biblical Theology 101” led by Pastor Bob Clark (Sanctuary).
THE SEASON OF LENT – The cloth on the cross has been changed to purple because we have entered the season of Lent. The color of Lent is purple – the same as Advent. The reason being is that the church has always understood the connection between His coming and His passion: “The Son of Man came (advent) … to give His life as a ransom for many (passion). Purple speaks of royalty, of kingship. Purple is made up of the colors blue (which speaks of Heaven) and red (which speaks of blood). The message communicated is that Jesus, the King of Heaven, came to shed His blood so that we might have peace with God.
TUESDAY MORNING LADIES’ STUDY – If you would like to join us for our study of 1 Kings, we meet each Tuesday from 8:30 – 10:00am in the church foyer. Study guides are available at the Welcome Center.

MOVIE OPPORTUNITY – “Unplanned” is at Richmond’s AMC theatre until Tuesday, April 16. Please check the website daily for showtimes. times and dates may change. Though it may be a hard movie to watch, the Lord is using it as a bright light to shine on the darkness of abortion in our country. The life and faith struggle of Abby Johnson is a testimony to both His mercy and grace; especially through His forgiveness that delivers us from the deception of the world. The film is rated R. We encourage parents to consider that regarding their youth.
