This Week’s Happenings

SUNDAY SCHOOL is for all ages. There will be one Adult Sunday School Fall Class focused on the Beatitudes and will be led by CPC Elders.

 CPC YOUTH GROUP will meet Sunday at 6pm.

MEN’S SATURDAY BOOK STUDY will meet Saturday, October 26, at 8am, as we take a final look at The Treasure Principle

WOMEN’S TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY meets Tuesday morning at 8:30am. Pastor Bob leads the study of 2 Kings.

ROCK SOLID meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:15pm at Rock Solid. This month, we meet on October 22. Please see Aaron and Emily Fredrick if you would like to help with this ministry. 

CPC VISION 2020 – For those of you participating in the 2020 Vision planning, our next meeting will be Wednesday, October 23, from 7-8:30pm. 

This Month’s Happenings

SUNDAY SCHOOL – Sunday School is available for all ages. There will be one Adult Sunday School Fall Class which will focus on the Beatitudes and will be led by CPC Elders.

KIDS’ SERMON NOTES are available during Greeting Time for 1st and 2nd graders at the front of the church by the exit door.

DEACONS’ FUND OFFERING:  Sunday, November 10, we will be collecting the Deacon’s Fund Offering for the Mercy Ministries of the Church.

MEN’S BREAKFAST – meets every Saturday morning at 8am. Please contact the Church Office for more information. All men are encouraged to attend. There will be some weekends where the men will not meet.

WOMEN’S TUESDAY MORNING OT SURVEY BIBLE STUDY meets Tuesday mornings at 8:30am. Pastor Bob leads the study of 2 Kings.

THURSDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY, R.C. Sproul’s “Dust to Glory” meets every other Thursday at 6pm at the church office. For more information, please contact Maureen Bradley or the Church Office:  765.966.4017. Please check with Maureen for schedule information.

CPC YOUTH GROUP meets on Sunday afternoons. Please contact the Church Office for more information. 


THANKSGIVING EVENING SERVICE – Join us next Sunday evening, November 24 at 6pm for a Thanksgiving Service followed by dessert. If you are able to bring a dessert, please contact Lori Fowler or Val Moore. This is a family service and children are encouraged to attend; a nursery will not be provided.

ROCK SOLID MEAL MINISTRYmeets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:15pm at Rock Solid. This month, we meet on November 26. Please see Aaron and Emily Fredrick if you would like to help with this ministry.

CHURCH OFFICE will be Closed until Noon on Monday, November 25, and will also be closed for Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday and Friday, November 28 & 29. If you need an announcement in the December 1 bulletin, please submit the item by Tuesday, November 26. Thank you.

ANNUAL LADIES ADVENT TEA – The Advent Tea, “Believe,” will be Wednesday, December 4, at 6:30pm. Tickets are $7.00 and are available at the Welcome Center after the service. The Christmas carols are full of the truths of the gospel and this year the program, after a light salad supper, will weave the Scriptures and Carol verses together to give the gospel with a call to “Believe.”

CPC FAMILY CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION – will be Sunday, December 15, at 6:30pm. Dessert, music and presentation from CPC folks, and rejoicing for the entire family. More information coming soon.

CPC CHOIR:  Choir season has resumed. If you are interested in singing in the CPC Choir, and are high school age and up, please contact Mindy Deckard, CPC Music Director.

CPC VISION 2020 – If you were unable to attend the first group meeting for the Vision planning team and would still like to be part of the process, you may sign up to serve on one of the subcommittees:  Worship, Teaching, Fellowship, or Evangelism/Outreach. Please contact the Church Office for more information.

CPC CHURCH CALENDAR – We’re heading into some of the busiest months of the church year and we want to be sure that we’re coordinating all of our events as carefully as we can. If you need to reserve the church buildings for use during the months of November and December, please call the Church Office in advance and make arrangements with Olivia. Thanks – we greatly appreciate your assistance.

CPC PRAYER GUIDES and MEMORY VERSES FOR OCTOBER – Weekly Prayer Request Guides and monthly memory verses for CPC family and friends are available for you at the Welcome Center.

UPDATED CPC DIRECTORIES are available for pick up.

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB CHRISTMAS SHOP – There are several ways that you can participate in this annual event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County. Help is needed with setup on December 5 & 6; Youth shopping assistance/wrapping on December 9-12 (any or all days); and Last Day cleanup on December 12. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Thom Herrman. For contact information, please reach out to the Church Office. Thank you.

Annual Events

December 4:  Ladies Advent Tea will be held Wednesday evening, December 4. More details coming soon.

October 19:  Youth Group Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, October 19. We will be collecting items for the garage sale during Youth group on Sunday evening, October 13.

October 19:  Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 19, from 4pm to sunset. 

August 25:  Ice Cream Social will take place on Sunday, August 25, immediately following worship. Please RSVP by Friday noon, August 23.

July 8-12:  Vacation Bible School “Passport to Japan” will be 9am to noon for ages 3 years old – 6th grade.

April 5:   The 2019 MEN’S CONFERENCE will focus on the elusive subject of happiness. We will hear the contrasting stories of two men who grew up in the football crazed states of Nebraska and Texas. One man’s football dream was cut short by a tragic accident, while the other man’s journey led him to Notre Dame and a Super Bowl Championship with the Indianapolis Colts. We invite you to come hear the inspiring stories of Shawn Munn and Hunter Smith and walk away with a new appreciation for what true happiness is all about.
